So it's been an interesting few weeks..

The first week of August my boyfriend and I each took off from work because we had our 3 year anniversary that week and decided to go on a little camping trip. It was nice to finally have time to spend together because the most we ever get is just the weekend (half of saturday, all of sunday, and part of monday.. depending who has to work first) which is actually a huge improvement over the one day we use to have. But during that week he proposed! Which was great x3!! (thought not unexpected xD; ) So now we're happily engaged x3 and hands down that was my best week ever

However.. for the past the three years I've been hiding this whole relationship from my dad because, unfortunately, my dad is pretty racist. And considering we got engaged I figured it was about time to break it to him, so my sister and I devised a plan to tell him... needless to say he was still pretty pissed. I think I guilt-tripped him into stopping fighing me about it, though he still doesn't agree with the relationship and thinks I should "stick to my own kind" (not kidding.. those are his actual words >> On top of that my mom wasn't horribly thrilled because she doesn't think I should be settling for the first guy I've ever dated and should test the waters.. but as I see it, if what I have is good, why risk giving that up? So basically while my friends are excited for me, my family is less than so... which has made something super happy quite a bit less. xP And the week quite a bit more stressful. On top of that, my work severely cut my hours from 20 to 6.. yes, 6. And that was over the course of two days >< And me, not knowing they had only scheduled me for three hours, dragged my ass there (hour away, and an extra half hour with traffic) to work for three hours..... usually I close so I wasn't expecting it at all. And my other three hour day I had already requested off weeks earlier because we were having a surprise party for my dad. Luckily this week I'm working quite a bit more, though I've told them about a million times I can't work weekends and they scheduled me for saturday ><! So right now I'm practically destitute, and unfortunately with my three-hour check, after taxes I'll be taking home a whopping $20 or so... woo.

And all this week I'll be packing everything because we're changing apartments. This year we had four people but two of them are leaving so me and my roommate are switching to a two bedroom, and of course its a weekend that we have to move and my mom works all weekend so we have to move out a little sooner to be able to do it in time, and I'm going to have to commute to work in the mean time (the hour long ride) which wont be fun ><
